global economic what?

so there’s a crisis at the moment apparently.  things like stocks and australian dollars are worth as much as they were a few weeks ago.  but you know what… i really don’t care.  i know i should but i just don’t.

perhaps it is a symptom of being of the generation-y, but we’ve never had to worry about money that much and everything’s just gone along swimmingly.  we’re used to paying shitloads for things anyway and debt is our way of life.  think university or buying a car.

and don’t even mention putting a deposit on a house.  the baby boomers aren’t going to give up their investment properties lightly.

i’ll continue to fritter away my not-so-hard-earned funds on takeaway, coffees and donations to ngos for now.
